UCSF Radiology in Africa
June
24-29, 2007 in Livingstone, Zambia
"I
believe there is no sickness of the heart
too great it cannot be cured by a dose
of Africa. Families must go there to learn
why they belong together on this earth,
adolescents to discover humility, lovers
to plumb old but untried wells of passion,
honeymooners to seal marriages with a shared
sense of bafflement, those shopworn with
life to find a tonic for futility, the
aged to recognize a symmetry to twilight."

INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC
AIR TRAVEL
The
recommended airport for travel to the conference
is at Livingstone, Zambia, where daily flights
arrive from Johannesburg (a short 1 hour 30
minute flight away). Please note that
there is a limited frequency of flights into
Livingstone or Victoria Falls. Participants
opting to arrive via Zimbabwe’s
Victoria Falls Airport, will be required to
purchase a Zimbabwe visa for this transit.
Our selected hotels at the conference, The Royal Livingstone and Zambezi
Sun, are situated only 20 minutes away by road from the Livingstone airport.
The
scheduled flights departing from Johannesburg
leave only in the morning, between 9am - 12noon;
therefore, you will most likely have a forced
overnight in Johannesburg, depending upon your
international arrival time.
We
strongly encourage you to make your reservations
early for the best pricing and availability.
We expect that the days right before and after
the meeting will be most popular. Once these
flights are sold out, the only option would
be to fly on an earlier day or via a special
charter (which we can arrange for groups).
UCSF Radiology
have contracted the services African
Travel's Air Centre to assist you in
packaging the best possible rates for your
air travel to Africa. Please
