Explore Botswana & Victoria Falls

Snapshot

Enjoy a safari in the watery world of the incredible Okavango Delta in Botswana, followed by a visit to the Linyanti, and finally ending in Victoria Falls.  This is a great combination of wildlife in a pristine and unique wilderness with an opportunity to see one of the biggest and most spectacular waterfalls in the world. This safari can also be started in the Makgadikgadi or Central Kalahari Desert for a fully immersive Botswana experience!

Day 2

Delta Magic

Location(s):

You will have a full day to explore the amazing Okavango Delta, a magical world of channels, islands, and lagoons lying in the middle of the largest expanse of sand on earth, the Kalahari Desert. The calm waters and lush indigenous forests are home to a wide variety of species, including lion, leopard, hyena, buffalo, elephant, hippo and numerous bird species. There is no better way of viewing game and capturing the essence of the Okavango than by traditional mokoro (dugout canoe), floating along in this serene and magnificent pristine wilderness.  Other activities include game drives, nature walks, boating, birdwatching, swimming and fishing (all depending on the accommodation and season).

Day 3-5

Wildlife big and small...

Location(s):

You’ll enjoy another light aircraft flight to experience another region of the Delta.  Views from the plane, flying low over the winding channels are incredible, and you will probably see some of the wild inhabitants as well.  The habitat in this camp will be different, perhaps a mix of Okavango and Kalahari landscapes.  You will spend 2 full days in the camp.   Activities may include game drives and boat activities, if it is a “wet” camp, as well as walking safaris, for the exciting opportunity to see big game on foot as well as smaller animals you miss when travelling by vehicle.

Day 6-8

Linyanti

Location(s):

From your light aircraft transfer into the Linyanti, you will see the landscape changing from high above. Arriving among the woodlands and unusual watercourses, the Linyanti in northern Botswana boasts the famous Savute Channel, once again a river in its own right, and the productive Linyanti River. This area is famous for its huge concentrations of elephant in the dry season, wild dog, and other big game.

Day 9-11

The Smoke That Thunders

Location(s):

Fly by light aircraft to Kasane to connect with your flight to Livingstone, Zambia. You will be met and transferred to your accommodation, located along the river.  Arrive in time for a sunset river cruise, enjoying a sundowner cocktail as you observe the wildlife around the river and along the shores. Spend a day enjoying the spectacular Victoria Falls, a World Heritage Site and one of the Natural Wonders of the World.  Activities range from simply viewing the awe-inspiring Falls on a tour to bungee jumping and white water rafting for the more active and adventurous.
