MOZAMBIQUE

Warm, turquoise water, pristine coral reefs teeming with marine life, idyllic beaches, and barefoot luxury lodges make this Indian Ocean paradise the perfect ending to a safari. Beautiful islands dot the horizon – the Bazaruto Archipelago in the south and the exclusive private islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago near the Tanzanian border in the far north.
Niassa National Reserve and Gorongosa National Park both have the potential to become top wildlife destinations with four of the Big Five present, although due to limited infrastructure and accommodation, these are not locations we recommend.
While many people come to relax on the beach, there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy – riding horses on the beach, sunset dhow cruises, deep-sea fishing, and diving and snorkeling to see the colorful fish, whales, dolphins, turtles, and even the endangered dugongs. Whether you are looking for a family-friendly beach holiday or a romantic honeymoon getaway, Mozambique is a wonderful option. It combines particularly well with South Africa, due to the flights between major hubs and wildlife areas, but can also be a great addition to other countries in the region.
