BOTSWANA - Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp, Okavango Delta
Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp is a luxury camp. It is located on an exclusive wildlife concession on the south-western border of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve in the Okavango Delta.
ACCOMMODATION:
The tented rooms accommodate a maximum of 18 persons in 9 tented rooms. It is built on raised wooden decks, each with its own private viewing deck and all with en-suite facilities with a shower. The main area is beautifully constructed in local wood, reed and thatch with splendid views over the floodplains. There is an outdoor dining area and campfire – very good Pan African cuisine is served. A swimming pool, small curio shop and interpretive centre are well utilized by all guests.
ACTIVITIES AND WILDLIFE:
Morning and afternoon/early evening game drives are standard with optional guided nature walks and the mokoro and motorized boating excursions are a highlight and a must!
Guests at Nxabega will see zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe. Lion and Leopard are not uncommon and birdlife is prolific, with all the Okavango species including Pel's Fishing Owl often sighted. The Delta antelope – lechwe and tsessebe are regularly seen leaping through the channels.
